This toolkit provides comprehensive, standardized, scientifically-accurate, and evidence-based information on the IUD, and it provides guidance on best practices as well as tools to help improve access to and quality of services.
- Contraception for Women and Couples with HIV
CD-ROM (an ACQUIRE/FHI collaboration led by FHI)
This tool can be used for independent, self-paced study or for group presentations. It contains guidance for providers who offer contraception to clients with HIV, including those on ARV therapy. The information can be used in a variety of health care settings by providers who regularly offer family planning services and by those who want to begin integrating contraceptive services with HIV treatment and care services.

The purpose of the Maximizing Access and Quality (MAQ) Initiative is to bring together USAID/Washington, USAID Missions, the cooperating agency (CA) community and other partners to identify and implement practical, cost-effective, and evidence-based interventions aimed at improving both the access to and quality of reproductive health and family planning services.
- Implementing Best Practices Initiative (IBP) Knowledge Gateway
The IBP Initiative has adapted a web-based technology to promote a concept of collaborative learning and knowledge sharing. The Electronic Communcation System encourages country-to-country and in-country transfer and exchange of information. Through the IBP system, the wider reproductive health community becomes within easy (virtual) reach for effective communication exchange.
