The ACQUIRE Project is a partnership of diverse and complementary agencies that bring together their unique expertise to address service-delivery issues, with participation from providers, clients, and the community. ACQUIRE uses data and participatory processes to facilitate planning, implementation, and reporting; this helps in developing strategies that are clearly adapted to a particular country's context.
Besides focusing on improving the quality of care in facilities (on the "supply" side), we also work to enhance community involvement and market services to clients (on the "demand" side).
Family planning programs have traditionally focused primarily on women, but it is often men who are the decision makers when it comes to sexual relations and family planning. Recognizing the importance of male involvement in reproductive health and family planning, the ACQUIRE Project is engaged in several activities to promote the partnership between men and women in reproductive health.
